上海平板玻璃厂始建于1951年,地处上海浦东开发区。是一家生产玻璃纤维制品,高密度酚醛泡沫不燃绝热材料和浮法玻璃的国有大型综合企业。占地面积32万平方米,固定资产2.06亿元,资产总值4.11亿元,现有职工3000余人。该厂拥有雄厚的科技人才及八十年代末90年代初国际先进水平的生产设备,年产17000吨离心法玻璃棉,6000吨高密度酚醛泡沫不燃材料和150万重量箱浮法玻璃,是我国生产绝热隔音材料最大的生产基地,1992年以来连续三年荣获为全国最佳经济效益工业企业及行业百强,建材业十强,1995年度中国工业企业综合评价最高500家之列。

上海平板玻璃厂是中国绝热隔音材料协会玻璃棉专业委员会主任委员,全国绝热材料标准化技术委员会副主任委员。全国保温材料科技情报信息网副理事长。中国石油化工绝热工程协作网副理事长等行业领导。

Founded in 1951, Shanghai Flat Glass Factory which is located in Pudong developing area is a state owned comprehensive company mainly producing fiber glass wool, high density nonflammable phenolic foam insulation materials and the float glass. It occupies 320 thousand square meters and has the fixed assets of 206 million and the total assets reaches to 411 million. The factory has over 3000employees many of which are technical people. With the advanced equipments of the end of eightieth and the early ninetieth we can annually produce the centrifugal glass wool 17 thousand tons and 10 thousand tons of phenolic foam insulation and 1.3 million weigh carton of float glass. Our factory is the biggest foundation of producing acoustic and thermal insulation materials. Since 1992, we have continuously 3 years honored one of the best profitable enterprises in China, one of the first ten building material factories and also one of the 500 in industrial comprehensive judgements in 1995.

Shanghai Flat Glass Factory is selected chairman of the China Acoustic and Thermal Insulation Committee, vice chairman of the Standardization Committee of China Thermal Materials, deputy Petrol-chemical Thermal Engineering Technical Co-operation Net.
