A BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF CORPORATION

      Shandong Aluminium Corporation (Salco), originally named Shandong Aluminium Works (SAW) is the cradle of China’s aluminium industry. It put into production on July, 1, 1954. After 40years of hard work of tapping potentialities and retrofitting the old equipments and production processes, Salco has now developed into an extra largest combined aluminium enterprise, which owns 13 subsidiary factories and mines, 10 trading companies and more than 20,000 workers and staff, integrating mining, refining, fabricating, machining, heat-power generating, civil engineering and installing, science research, designing and trading both at home and abroad as a whole.

        In recent years, Salco has made great Progress by adhearing to the developing strategy of “Developing more varieties and lowering down energy consumption in alumina production, further processing aluminium ingot and comprehensively utilizing the residues from alumina production to further enlarge cement production.” At present Salco Has produced over 130Kinds of products. The leading products and their annual out put are as follows: alumina 500 thousand t, aluminium ingot 36 thousand t, cement 1.6million t, alumina chemical products 100 thousand t, aluminium alloy profile for building 6,000 t, machinofacture capacity 8,000 t. In addition, 150 thousand t Bayer process project of aluminina will soon be completed and put into production. The subsequent construction and production capacity enlargement of Cement Factory, Aluminium Smelter and Aluminium Fabricating Factory have been put on the agenda.
